Rated 4 out of 5 by Bachs Brews from Good to find ABV of your brews! This is a great product and affordable compared to other similar products. The only downside is that I had to do my own research on how to actually use this. It'd be nice if there was a one pager that gave you instructions to properly use it, but in the end I figured it out and now I know what the actual ABV is of my beers. It's nice to have that if you end up experimenting and adding in more things that what the recipe calls for instead of going off the ABV the recipe says it could be. You feel like a master brewer while using it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Davz13 from Neat to figure out ABV I like how this tool helps you figure out the ABV, and helps you determine when the brew is ready to bottle. However, it does not come with instructions (you have to find a video on youtube to see how to actually use this), and i wish it had a mark on the glass tube to show you where to fill it up to to get a consistent volume for accurate reading (so i marked mine with a sharpie). Therefore, I dropped my rating down to a 3.

So you must go to You tube to see how you use it. Other then that works like it should and you will always know when it is ready to bottle. I Gave it 3 stars because of no instructions for it.

Most of them were fancy schmancy with multiple scales, storage racks, etc. I just needed a simple hydrometer and this fit the bill. Also the price made it irresistible. Now I know when fermentation is complete and I can calculate the ABV in my beer. It is a very basic two-piece kit that you can't go wrong with.

If we are buying one, can't you at least include a web link on where to go? I mean I know it wasn't expensive, but 10 cents worth of paper would have made a big difference...

Rated 5 out of 5 by Not my first hangover from Hydrometer Ordered hydrometer and sample tube, was dead on arrival would not float in sample tube. Called customer service spoke with Ashley and she sent out a new replacement had it within 3 days and it works great. Great customer service !!
