S-04
S-04 is the dry yeast I use most often for my specialty brews such as tangerine ale, and Mr. Beer has the least expensive price

Looks good
I started my brew yesterday, a honey ale. I just checked on it, and it is beautiful. This yeast seems to be working wonderfully. There is a wonderful on top of the wort, just like I was hoping for. The folks at Mr. Beer are great to work with. They formulated the recipe for me. I am really looking forward to trying it in a couple of weeks.

Good for Bocks!
Was happy that the Blackeye Bock came with this yeast to use because I was hoping for a british-style dry ale with a little bit amount of sweetness and a lot of malt and this delivered! Very clean beer compared to some other Mr. Beer recipes and I have to believe this yeast had something to do with it.

Packet opens easily
Since my beer will be bottled tomorrow and I won't be able to taste it for another few weeks, all I can say about the yeast at this point is that I received the correct packet and that the packet opened easily.

Part of M&B Cream Ale Recipe
This yeast strain worked well with the M&B Cream Ale recipe. It's a very standard strain, so not a lot different that I can tell. I haven't really gotten into changing the yeast strains yet; one step at a time!

One of my favorite year strains.
Great yeast for holiday ales and southern english style ales. Rather agressive yeast. I usually bubble over with this one. Similar scenario using nittingham my other favorite yeast.

Good starting point.
It helps to get guidance from experts as a starting point, yet still have access to s wide range of quality ingredients if you want to experiment.

I’ve got an extra S-04 and thought about using it in a batch of Diablo IPA. Yay or nay?
Asked by: Messy Matt
There is really no reason why you could not use S-04 in Diablo IPA. It may punch up some of those "fruitier" notes as well. Cheers!

I am making 24 liters with the S-04. Making the Munich Malt Monster Doppel bock. Do I need just one pack or three?
Asked by: stg1porter
I'm answering my own answer. One packet is good for two batches. So, two packets for three batches, or 24 liters.
